Spring has not quite sprung yet but we anxiously await it! As I write this the snowflakes are light, big and fluffy outside. But the sun is peaking through!
Spring means new product, fresh bed linens from St. Geneve, Graymarket Linens, fabulous Italian linen tablecloths, aprons and tea towels from Tessitura Toscana, bright, cheerful and acrylic serving pieces from Sabre Old Fashion line ( the absolutely cutest demitasse spoons for your espresso cups or sugar bowl ), and of course new tea towels from Le Jacquard Francais.
Spring means a new project in the works, a tea towel designed by our great creative team at Wax Partnership to commemorate Canada's 150th birthday this year! It will be produced by one of our favourite producers, Le Jacquard Francais and will be available for sale later this spring. We will also be promoting "Feast: Recipes and Stories from a Canadian Road Trip " about a fantastic culinary journey across Canada. Stay tuned for an event to meet the authors, Lindsay Anderson and Dana Vanveller. Read my review of the book In the next issue of Culinaire Magazine.
And in case you did not hear about it earlier this year inspirati was part of the CBC Eyeopener Auction with proceeds going to the Calgary Food Bank. Inspirati donated a luxury bedding package worth in excess of $5000. True story: man comes in, donates $10,000, wins luxury bedding package and donates it back to a women's shelter! Bravo!
Hang in there, Spring is coming.
